MALDON & TIPTREE Under-10s are gearing up for their latest club trip this spring - in their brand new ProKit UK tour tops.
It is the third year in a row the Blackwater & Dengie Youth Football League club and their families have got together to visit the seaside, and in May 2020 they are heading for Bournemouth after previous weekends away in Great Yarmouth in 2018 and 2019.
The squad is made up of keeper Callum Rainford, Harrison Judge, Harry Nathan, Harry Priest, Taylor Hayden, Ruben Wreford, Harry Russell, Finlay Carter, Frankie Smith and Grayson Lawrence, and has had terrific success with only two defeats in seven-a-side games in the past two years.
In fact their progress has been so rapid that joint managers Steven Nathan and Barrie Wreford moved their Under-10s up to Under-11s level in nine-a-side games this year, and they have settled immediately with six wins from six.
And Steven, who started coaching the side two years ago, says their bespoke tour tops from ProKitUK have been invaluable in boosting camaraderie in their squad.
He said: "ProKit have produced polo shirts and hoodies for us with the badges, initials, logos and the name of our tour, so this year it will be Bournemouth 2020.
"The polo tops are worn at our presentation evenings and the hoodies are very versatile and ideal for the tours.
"The boys and their families come on these trips with us and it is a weekend in which we play in a tournament against sides from across the county.
"The tours also offer a chance for the players to spend some social time together, and the tops really help give them a sense of being part of a team."
